They say that in today’s music business an artist has to be multi-faceted in order to succeed.  The talented twenty four year-old Renée Stakey is definitely one of God’s gifted children embarking in dancing & acting in music videos (Notorious B.I.G. "Mo Money Mo Problems”), MTV's "The Grind", Cold-Eeze (Infomercial); modeling for Piel Moda (Ambato, Ecuador), Long Island Summer Magazine (Front Cover), singing and songwriting previous Dance Hits on Groovilicious Records, Koch and Robbins Entertainment.  

2006 marks the year of a new beginning for Southampton’s own Renée Stakey who took a two year hiatus from the music business.  The former WXXP on-air radio personality and honor graduate of The Crane School of Music in Potsdam, NY has signed with Nene Musik Talent Agency the home of Billboard Charting artists (Aventura, Cascada, Lucas Prata &   DHT).  Nene Musik saw her vision and began to look for songs and collaborations that would fit the musically trained and vocally gifted Stakey.

After listening to many submissions from around the world, Renée decided to stick with producers from her own backyard and decided to record “Lonely Dream” produced by WKTU’s Mike Rizzo and Mike Guerrero.  “It was the perfect fit for Renée.  She has always embraced dance music and it was one of the pieces to our musical puzzle.  The next piece was finding a home for the song and I knew we had to give this project to a label with charting history.  The first call was from Sal Abbatiello of the legendary Fever Records.  It was like destiny” says Ruben D. Martinez (CEO of Nene Musik). 

Renée is in the process of completing her album which will focus on true life experiences.  She is taking more of an organic approach and will portray her intuitions and feelings both vocally and musically.  She will be playing several instruments on her productions and with the help of some of today’s hottest producers, incorporate a fusion of R&B, Pop and Latin flavor to her recordings.

Now on the cusp of a surely strong and vibrant Dance / Pop music career, Stakey will truly shine among the ranks of other strong women who act, write and sing.  Renée Stakey is truly living a life of magical wonders that only people dream about.
