Jocelyn Enriquez, the artist known for her energetic dance hits of the late 90s, is emerging back onto the music scene with a new CD entitled ALL MY LIFE. The album results from a lifelong passion for music and experience that comes from growing up in the music industry.
By the age of three, Jocelyn was singing in front of her family and at church in her hometown of San Francisco. As a girl, she formally trained with the San Francisco Girls Chorus and The San Francisco Opera Company. At home, she fed her passion by listening to artists such as Olivia Newton John, Whitney Houston and Madonna.
Jocelyn was discovered by Bay Area record label Classified Records in 1993 and soon thereafter, released her first album, LOVELY. Within three years, she not only gained the support of a sea of fans, but she also gained the attention of legendary Tommy Boy Records. Tommy Boy released Jocelyn's self-titled album in 1997, which produced the songs "A Little Bit of Ecstasy," and "Do You Miss Me?" The songs hit the Billboard charts as vigorously as they hit the radio and club scene. Jocelyn's fan base multiplied nationwide, as well as internationally.
Her newfound fame brought many new opportunities, including work on movie soundtracks for "Studio 54" and "102 Dalmations." Jocelyn collaborated with Amber and Ultra Nate on the remake of "If You Could Read My Mind" for "Studio 54". The song was so powerful that the trio was also asked to perform the song in the final scene. Subsequently, Jocelyn's track in collaboration with Thunderpuss, "So Fabulous, So Fierce" was featured on the "102 Dalmations" soundtrack.
Following that success, Jocelyn took a well-deserved break to search her soul and confirm that she was on the right path. What she found was that she couldn't stay away from the music industry. Jocelyn stayed in touch with her fans with appearances, performances and by contributing to various musical projects. Her short sabbatical helped Jocelyn realize that the music industry is exactly where she needs to be and she began working on new songs.
Since her last release Jocelyn has matured as an artist, as is apparent on the new album. It is reflected in the songs she carefully chose and the strength and intensity of her voice. Over the years Jocelyn has evolved as a businessperson as well. She recently started her own record label, JEM Entertainment, on which ALL MY LIFE is being produced. Jocelyn executive produced this album and was involved in every step of the making of this album. ALL MY LIFE is truly a culmination of Jocelyn Enriquez' lifetime of experience and love of music.
